Pe plajă –
numeroşi copii privesc
balena eşuată

At the beach –
many children watching
the unstuck whale

Marea a adus
alge pe plajă –
nimeni în apă

Sea washes up
algae on the beach—
no one in the water

Plajă pustie –
printre frunze de salcâm
zăresc un lăstun

Deserted beach—
among the acacia leaves
sight a swallow

După furtună –
pe plajă o barcă goală
şi meduze

After the storm—
on the beach an empty boat
and sea-jellies
